Polymers play a vital role in our daily life and their industrial applications found nearly in every tool we use everyday, the uses ranging from plastic bags, vehicles parts manufacture, textiles, paints, to medical and pharmaceutical drugs.Polymers application in range of industries according to their structural and thermal properties. 

Polymer Definition and classification

polymers are huge molecules that formed by reacting monomers (usually organic compounds) together through polymerization reaction, polymeric material can be classified broadly into two types, synthetic polymers like nylon and natural polymers like cellulose. Also, may be classified into thermoplastic such as polyethylene or polyester, thermosetting like bakelite, fibres, and elastomers such as rubber. The main factor that determines polymer different applications is the polymer properties which basically depends upon the reaction condition and materials from which the polymer prepared.

Polymers have properties that depend on the chemicals they are made from and the conditions in which they are produced. For instance, polyethylene can be formulated in two types high density polyethylene (HDPE) and low density polyethylene (LDPE). HDPE is stronger than LDPE.
